Finnish Kendo Championships

Finnish Kendo Championships 2018 are held in Turku!

Both individual and team championships during the same weekend. Gather your team and get ready!

Free entrance for the audience.

ORGANIZER:  Finnish Kendo Association in co-operation with Turku Kendo Clubs Rendaino and Dai Kenshin Kai.

The schedule is approximate. On Saturday each competition series is starting as soon as possible after the completion of the previous competition series.

19:00-01:00 after kendo in TYY sauna, Rehtorinpellonkatu 4, 20500 Turku ( Registration for after keiko is included in the camp registration form. Afterkendo is free of charge.

Saturday individual competition 

NB! All juniors under 18 years of age, who take part in the competition, must have a permission to compete from the instructor of their club. The instructors must consider carefully, if the junior should participate in the competition with or without bogu. The same junior can NOT participate in both competitions, with and without bogu. Junior competitions do not have different series for different grades.

The equal devision of lower kyu level competitors is done to ensure, that competitors in all pools are as equally positioned as possible.

Sunday team competition

Five person teams, with members of at least 18 years of old and kyu level at least 6th kyu OR 16-17 of age and kyu level at least 3rd kyu.
